Steps for printing a printer status report on HP OfficeJet Pro 6900 printers:
Power on the printer.
Lift the output tray, then slide out the paper input tray.
Load plain, white paper into the tray.
Adjust the paper length guides so they touch the edge of the paper.
Slide in the input tray, and lower the output tray.
Press OK to confirm the loaded paper size and type.
Slide out the output tray extender.
From the home screen on the printer control panel, swipe down from the top to open the Dashboard, and then touch the Setup icon.
Navigate to and touch Reports.
Touch Printer Status Report.
