Steps for converting an HP printer from a wireless to a USB connection in macOS or OS X:
Navigate to Printers and Scanners and select your printer.
Click Options and Supplies.
Click the Utility tab, then Open Printer Utility.
Click Wireless Setup, confirm your settings, then click Continue.
Click Allow, then Done.
Delete your printer by clicking the Minus sign.
Confirm the deletion.
Click the Plus sign,
Select your printer name with Bonjour listed as the kind of printer connection.
Select your printer and then click the Use or Print Using menu.
Select the name of your printer in the drop-down list to use the HP driver in macOS or OS X.
Click Add.
